Control  your landing spot! There are two parts to every short-game shot: air time and ground time. In between is the landing spot-that's your key. Most golfers stare at the ball and pay no attention to that spot or their ultimate target. Try this drill. Stick four tees in the ground to form a three-foot box one yard onto a green. Find  a spot where a chip with your pitching wedge would land in the box. A few reminders: Play the ball in the center of your stance, with your hands ahead, and lean on your left side. Swing back and through, maintaining your wrist angles.
